How your documents are handled

There is no account, no sign-up and no login, so there is no name, email address or password to collect. There is no advertising network and nothing you type into a form is transmitted anywhere.

Nothing counts your visit. There is no analytics script, no advertising network and no third-party tracker on this domain.

Everything below lives in your browser’s own storage (IndexedDB) for this site, on this device:

• The PDFs you open — kept so you can close the tab and carry on later.
• What you have filled in — the text, tick marks, dates, drawings and their positions and formatting, saved separately from the original file so the original is never altered.
• Your signature — only if you ticked “Remember this for next time” when you created it.
• Your settings — default font, size, ink colour, date format and similar preferences.

TypePDF asks the browser to treat this storage as persistent, so your documents are not evicted when the device is short on space. Browsers can decline that request.

If a PDF is password protected you are asked for the password so the file can be opened. It is used in memory to decrypt the document and is never written to storage and never sent anywhere.

Open Settings and choose Delete all documents, or remove documents one at a time from Your documents. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes everything as well, including your saved signature and settings.

Because the data is only ever on your device, deleting it is final — there is no copy elsewhere to recover it from. Download anything you still need first.

The page itself has to be downloaded from a web host, so that host may keep ordinary server logs — the kind every website produces, such as IP address, timestamp and which file was requested. Those logs record that a page was loaded. They cannot record the contents of your documents, because your documents are never sent.

The typefaces used on this site are served from the site itself rather than from a font network, so loading a page does not tell a third party that you visited.

If how any of this works changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated.
